How long will TRICARE cover milk storage bags?
TRICARE covers 100 breast milk storage bags every 30 days following a birth or adoption event. We can set up resupply so fresh bags arrive automatically.
What does TRICARE Prime cover for pregnancy?
TRICARE Prime offers the same pregnancy benefits as other TRICARE plans, including your breast pump. The difference is that Prime requires a referral from your primary care manager before seeking medical care.
What about hospital-grade pumps?
Hospital-grade pumps are covered when medically necessary, usually as a rental. They require a referral and authorization through your regional contractor, and our team can help you work through that process.
