A wearable pump with a light inside, for nights and busy days
The Motif Aura Glow® is a cordless, hands-free pump that slips into your bra. A nightlight in each milk container lets you see how much you’ve pumped without turning on a lamp.
Two timed modes, designed by lactation professionals, run the whole session for you.

Is the Aura Glow right for you?
Best for
- Night pumping: check your milk in the dark
- Moms who’d rather press start and let the pump run the session
- Pumping at work or on the go, with nothing on a table
- Building supply with a short power pumping mode
Maybe not for
- Your only pump: Motif says most moms do best pairing a wearable with a main pump like the Motif Luna
- Anyone who wants an app: the Glow has none
- Long days between charges: the Zomee W1 is rated for 120+ minutes

What sets it apart: the glow
The light sits in the milk container and shines into it, so at 3 a.m. you can see your milk level without waking anyone.
- Set it once
- Press and hold the nightlight button to pick a brightness.
- Quick check
- A short press turns it on at that brightness.
- Turns itself off
- It switches off after 30 seconds, so it won’t keep the room lit.
- Quiet too
- Under 45 dB, Motif says, so it won’t wake your baby.
Two modes that run the session for you
Motif’s lactation team built two timed modes. Pick one, press start, and the pump switches by itself, then turns off at 30 minutes.
General Pumping: aims for two let-downs
- Massage
Minutes 0 to 2, to start your let-down.
- Expression
Minutes 2 to 15.
- Massage
Minutes 15 to 17, for a second let-down.
- Expression
Minutes 17 to 30, then off.
Cluster Feeding: a 30-minute power pump
- Pump 7 min
Stronger suction, like baby’s cluster feeds.
- Rest 5 min
Low suction, a short break.
- Pump 7, rest 5
The same again.
- Pump 6 min
Then off at 30 minutes.
Motif says Cluster Feeding helps increase milk supply, and unlike an hour of power pumping, you can use it whenever you like. Classic Massage and Expression modes, 9 levels each, are there too.
Pour, wash, pack it up
Lift off the motor, open the spout, and pour straight into a bottle. Motif says the spout cuts down on spills.
- Closed system
- Backflow protection keeps milk away from the motor.
- Five parts to wash
- Only the milk parts go in the sink; wipe the motor dry.
- Wet-dry bag
- In the box, with foam padding to protect the pump.
- Warranty
- Motif covers the motor for 2 years and the battery for 1.

Questions moms ask about the Motif Aura Glow
How much does the Motif Aura Glow cost with insurance?
With insurance, the Motif Aura Glow costs $0 to $62, depending on your plan. Many plans cover it in full; others add an upgrade fee. Check your coverage and we’ll tell you your exact cost before you order.
How strong is the Motif Aura Glow suction?
Up to 280 mmHg in Expression and General Pumping modes, Motif says. Massage, Expression and General Pumping have 9 levels each, and Cluster Feeding has 5. The Spectra S1 and S2 list 270 mmHg, so the Glow’s maximum is slightly higher on paper.
Is the Motif Aura Glow hospital grade?
Motif’s site calls the Glow’s suction hospital-grade, but we don’t use that label ourselves. The number to compare is maximum suction in mmHg: 280 on the Glow against 270 on the Spectra S1 and S2.
How do I put the Motif Aura Glow together?
1. Seat the valve in the collection container, mind its direction. 2. Press the diaphragm in firmly. 3. Line up the groove on the shield with the groove on the container and press the edges. 4. Measure with the nipple ruler, add 0 to 3 mm, and add an insert if needed. 5. Press the milk stopper into the pour spout. 6. Press the motor down onto the container, notch aligned with the diaphragm.
How do I clean the Motif Aura Glow?
Take apart the five milk-contact parts: valve, diaphragm, shield, flange insert and collection container. Rinse in cool water, wash with the included brush or soak 5 minutes in warm soapy water, and air dry. Only wipe the motor with a dry cloth. Motif says to boil the parts 5 minutes before first use and daily after, and doesn’t recommend the dishwasher because parts may warp.
What parts does the Motif Aura Glow use, and where do I buy replacements?
Motif says to replace valves every 1 to 3 months, diaphragms every 3 to 6 months, and inserts and collection containers every 6 months. Motif sells replacement parts at motifmedical.com/replacement-supplies, including a resupply kit, or you can call Motif at (844) 272-8390.
Which flange size fits the Motif Aura Glow?
It comes with a 24 mm shield, inserts in 15, 17, 19 and 21 mm, and a nipple ruler. Motif says to add 0 to 3 mm to your nipple size, and sells 11, 12, 13, 14 and 27 mm separately. The What’s In The Box tab walks you through measuring, or call us.
How long does the Motif Aura Glow battery last, and can I pump while it charges?
About 90 minutes of pumping per full charge, Motif says. It charges by USB-C, but it won’t run while plugged in, so charge between sessions. Motif doesn’t publish a charge time.
How loud is the Motif Aura Glow?
Under 45 dB, Motif says, a low hum.
Can I lie back while I use the Motif Aura Glow?
Motif’s manual says to pump only with the pump upright, so sit up or stand, and never use it while drowsy or asleep.
What is the difference between the Motif Aura Glow and the Zomee W1?
The Glow lists 280 mmHg, 9 levels per mode and about 90 minutes per charge, with a nightlight in each container. The Zomee W1 lists 300 mmHg and 12 levels and warms the shield.
Does the Motif Aura Glow work with the Motif app?
No. The Glow runs on its own buttons. Motif says its app pairs only with the original Motif Aura, which is no longer on Motif’s current pump list.
Does insurance cover the Motif Aura Glow?
Yes. Most health plans must cover a breast pump under federal rules, and we check your plan, get the prescription from your doctor, and ship the Motif Aura Glow to your door. Start your order through insurance, and we will tell you before anything ships if your plan covers a different pump.
